Glasgow GRANDweek 2013    1st - 30th September


The Communities Sub-group aims to strengthen links between alcohol and drug forums, recovery groups, local communities and agencies and organisations.  The Communities Sub-group reports to the Glasgow City Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP).

The Communities Sub-group is co-ordinating Glasgow's 7th annual GRAND (Getting Real about Alcohol 'N' Drugs) week - a citywide initiative that enables communities to work together to develop and support local responses to alcohol and drug issues.

As a result of evaluation feedback, GRANDweek 2013 has expanded to take place throughout the whole of September, with a programme of activities and events as follows:


Week 1:

1st to 7th September

City centre

Week 2:

8th to 14th September

North East sector

Week 3:

15th to 21st September

South sector

Week 4:

22nd to 28th September

North West sector


GRANDweek 2013 includes a series of locally-led activities and events across Glasgow, with a major event taking place in each Community Health Partnership (CHP) sector.  In 2012 over 80 events were funded via the GRAND Local Grant Scheme and included arts and drama, information and awareness events, project open days, and more.   

All funding decisions for GRANDweek 2013 have been made and applicants notified.
